SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Visit Saint Paul was named YPro Advocate of the Year in the small organization category at the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce’s YPro: Discovered Gala at The Saint Paul Hotel on Thursday.
YPro is the chamber’s young professionals program that connects young leaders throughout the Twin Cities to Minnesota’s network of business through engaging events.
The inaugural award ceremony honored the best and brightest young professionals — and those who support them — in the metro area.
Visit Saint Paul is comprised of 19 people in the areas of sales, convention services, membership, marketing and financial administration. Of those 19, four staff members are currently active with YPro program with one serving on the YPro committee.
“We are proud to be named YPro Advocate of the Year,” said Terry Mattson, President and CEO of Visit Saint Paul. “The YPro program and events provide tremendous opportunities for the young professionals on our staff, which is why we encourage them to attend.”
The other two organizations that received the young professional advocacy award were Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union for the large organization category (500-plus employees) and Hiway Federal Credit Union for the medium organization category (100-500 employees). The small organization category was for organizations with fewer than 100 employees.
