Visit Saint Paul Launches Hockey Passport
The ‘Power Play Hockey Passport’ encourages visiting iconic Saint Paul hockey destinations.
SAINT PAUL, Minn. (October 26, 2023) – Visit Saint Paul is introducing the ‘Power Play Hockey Passport’, a trail of over 20 iconic Saint Paul hockey destinations. The passport invites both visitors and the community to experience why we are the Capital City in the State of Hockey. The trail highlights more than 20 places to see and experience all things hockey, including ice rinks, murals, sports bars and restaurants and more with chances to win prizes along the way.
“Saint Paul's hockey-loving visitors come from near and far to see not only the Minnesota Wild, but for tournaments such as MNHSL high school hockey, the NCHC Frozen Faceoff, and the return of the NCAA Frozen Four in 2024. This passport is a fun and unique way to capture their attention and guide them in exploring places to experience a sport they love,” said Chelsea Fey, Marketing & Partnership Director.
To participate, hockey enthusiasts can visit www.visitsaintpaul.com/hockey-passport/ to sign up. The passport not only highlights local hockey destinations, but also gives users the chance to win prizes. Pass holders can earn rewards by visiting locations and checking in. Here’s how it works:
Step 1 – Get Your Pass
This mobile exclusive passport is a collection of curated hockey destinations where you can see and experience the sport.
Step 2 – Receive a Text
Your passport will be instantly delivered to your phone via text and email and is ready to use immediately. There is no app to download. Your pass can be saved to your phone’s home screen for easy one-tap access.
Step 3 – Redeem
When visiting a participating business or location, simply open your pass and check in to earn points. Points earn prizes such as vinyl stickers, a Saint Paul pom beanie and entries into giveaways for tickets and swag.
