The primary objective of the calendar of events is to inform potential visitors of all the exciting things there are to do in the Capital City. The calendar is full of visitor-centric events and is intended to assist in growing the tourism and hospitality industry, helping visitors plan trips to our region and increasing the economic impact from those trips. We want it to present the positive profile and image of Saint Paul and the region and showcase the great entertainment, festivals and events in the Saint Paul area, with an emphasis on our partners.

The overall objective of the calendar of events is to bring visitors to Saint Paul!
The primary function of the calendar of events is to inform potential visitors of all the exciting things there are to do in the capital city. The calendar is full of visitor-centric events and is intended to assist in growing the tourism and hospitality industry, helping visitors plan trips to our region and increasing the economic impact from those trips. The goal is to present a positive profile and image of Saint Paul and the region and showcase the great entertainment, festivals and events in the Saint Paul area, with an emphasis on our partners.
- The calendar is restricted to events sponsored, supported, or taking place at both paid and civic partners of Visit Saint Paul. Exceptions may be made it if is a high-profile event that is a draw for visitors.
- Events must present visitors the opportunity to experience hospitality; heritage; culture; cuisine; sports; concerts; theater; museum/art exhibitions; seasonal happenings; and festivals taking place in Saint Paul. Exceptions may be made for Visit Saint Paul partner events taking place near Saint Paul.
- Events must be open to the public - free or ticketed.
- Non-eligible events include: Fundraising and donation appeals, political events and rallies, networking or business training events (such as chamber meetings, award banquets and socials), job fairs, public hearings, religious services, retail store discounts, Special offers or happy hours, summer camps or long term classes, or events deemed not to be tourism-related.
- The following special events may be considered if enough additional activities/elements are included: Retail events/open houses (may include entertainment, music, tastings, guest appearances, signings and/or demos), Special dining events (wine or chef's dinners, holiday meals with entertainment), One or consecutive two-day classes or tours, Special community-wide sales events or multi-vendor markets, Admission that is waived for an activity or attraction that occurs for 1-4 days.
Visit Saint Paul reserves the right to accept or reject a submitted event for any reason.
* Before submitting your event, please verify that it is not already listed on the calendar.
- Event dates, times, and location should be final, but if things were to change, we can make updates.
- Descriptions should be in sentence form (do not use all-caps). Please double-check your content for accuracy before submitting. Do not use all-caps.
- Descriptions are restricted to the event itself and should not include time, costs, dates, phone numbers, etc., as there are separate areas on the submission form to include such information.
- Please include an image – events without images will not be approved. In submitting photography, you are allowing Visit Saint Paul the rights to use the photography for the purposes of promoting Saint Paul as a visitor and convention destination in promotional or marketing efforts.
- Events should be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the event occurrence to ensure adequate notice to the public.
- Visit Saint Paul reserves the right to edit descriptions and is not responsible for errors submitted via the form.
Submission of an event does not guarantee that it will be included in our calendar. Visit Saint Paul retains the right to publish events at our discretion.
