Low and Outside

Overview
Low and Outside is a brand new creative trio that plays original music as well as standards by composers such as Benny Golson, Thelonious Monk and Charles Mingus. Members are Phil Hey (drums), Kyle Motl (bass) and Dean Sorenson (trombone). All are on the faculty of the University of Minnesota School of Music. The group looks to expand the boundaries of jazz and improvised music.
