Cook County, named after the Northern Minnesota county that they’ve visited annually since the bands origin, is a Minneapolis/Stillwater based group of friends that plays what one might call 'alternative folk-rock', which combines influence from classic folk-rock, classic rock, and contemporary rock and alt-rock. Their sound is driven by the sparkling male-female harmony duo of lead singers, Matt Frank and Kerri Ickler, honed and refined over the past 6 years, as well as Matt's extraordinary, effortless guitar playing, and grounded with a tight rhythm section consisting of drummer, Mike Nyland and bass player, Christian Flanders.
