MEET THE HEADLINERS:
Maggie Faris’s ceaselessly cheerful personality, light-hearted material, and seemingly endless series of quirky, intelligent jokes leave audiences laughing at their own insecurities and prejudices, showing that we are all equally goofy human beings.
Widely considered one of the best comedians to come out of St Paul, MN, Maggie has released fourcomedy albums*, been featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and co-headlined the inaugural St Paul Comedy All-Stars show. She’s also opened for such comedy greats as Maria Bamford, Louis Black, Damon Wayans, Jeff Ross, Dave Attel, Kathleen Madigan, Jay Pharoah, Michael Che, Daniel Tosh, Nick Swardson, Josh Wolf, Jamie Kennedy, Jimmy Pardo, Todd Glass, Joey Diaz, Sebastian Maniscalco, Greg Fitsimmons, Justin Willman, and Fortune Feimster.
Maggie was voted “Best Comedian” by her Minnesota peers and named “One of the Funniest Lesbians in America” by Curve magazine, as well as “Next Funniest Queer Comedian” by The Advocate magazine.
Oh and she wins comedy competitions in her sleep! Maggie’s taken top prize at the Loons on the Lake Comedy Competition, Minnesota Laugh-Off, Stand Out National Queer Comedy Search Competition, and the Gender Showdown (previous competitors including Louie Anderson and Rosanne Barr). She also won the Silver Nail Award and Funniest Clip of the Year at the Aspen Comedy Festival. The icing on the cake: one of Maggie’s competition wins landed her the coveted role of public address announcer for the St. Paul Saints professional baseball team, leading to an appearance on ESPN’s Cold Pizza!
Aron Woldeslassie
Aron is a standup comedian, author, and producer based in St. Paul. His comedy comes from a blend of observations on race, relationships, and culture as well as personal stories.
He was featured in the St Paul Comedy All-Stars show and has been a finalist in numerous comedy contests, including the Funniest Person in St Paul (Gambit Brewing), Funniest Person in Minneapolis(Sisyphus Brewing), and Funniest Person with a Day Job (House of Comedy in Mall of America). Aron is also a founding member of The Nordly and Minnesota Tonight and his work has been featured on Minnesota Public Radio, TPT’s Almanac, Mpls/St.Paul Magazine, and other various literary magazines.
Robert Baril
Hailed by the Minneapolis Star Tribune as "the sharpest political commentator on the Twin Cities comedy scene", Robert Baril is always mining the news of the day, tackling all the hot button issues to fuel his informed, take-no-prisoners style of comedy.
A mainstay of the Minneapolis and St Paul comedy scene for years and regular at Acme Comedy Club, Robert has released four comedy albums to date: “Sex and Politics” (2017), “TMI” (2019), “2020”(2021), & “Not the Time” (2022). He was also featured in the Amazon Prime documentary “I Need You to Kill” and co-headlined the inaugural St Paul Comedy All-Stars show.
