Overview
10:30-11:30am and 1:30-2:30pm
Learn about Japanese Americans who served during WWII as part of the Military Intelligence Service Language School at Fort Snelling.
Recruited from concentration camps on the west coast, these men and women served while many of their family members remained incarcerated. Their work is considered to have shortened the war by years.
The very building now housing our new Visitors Center, where this program takes place, was used as one of their barracks.
