Overview

In 1970, Miyoko Omori came to the United States from Japan. After waiting tables for 7 years at Fuji Ya in Minneapolis, Miyoko decided she'd open her own restaurant. Miyoko left her job with only her last paycheck in hand, and convinced a local business owner to rent her a space for her now award-winning restaurant, Sakura, or "cherry blossom" in Japanese. Sakura Restaurant offers an excellent selection of Japanese cuisine to both the novice and connoisseur. The restaurant, located in downtown Saint Paul, consists of a traditional tatami room and a large sushi bar for those who wish to watch their sushi prepared. Open for lunch and dinner daily.

Monday - Thursday Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Dinner: 5 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
Friday - Saturday Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Dinner: 5:00 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Sunday Lunch: 12 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Dinner: 4 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
